Human Rights , Peace & Conflict   Opinions

I cried bitterly every time, I cried bitterly for my country. The whole treasury, all the money is in the hands of very few. A land greatly endowed, where natural and human resources is not scarce but is left unutilized, underutilized and grossly misutilized. What a waste, what a shame!
My land is a contrast of the rich and poor, of zigzag cultures and numerous dialect, and of both religious and traditional disciplines entwining each other.

most of the roads have become deathtraps, there is dirt everywhere, our roads are waterlogged filled with ringworm like potholes that make the pedestrians thinks that the driver is dancing in his vehicle. most of the rulers are selfish and sit tight politicians who have been there from colonial era. The leaders steals money without blinking an eyelid, Those who do not deserved to be r0spected have become leaders.

If nobody ask questions about how they run the country ,then we are all cowards and back-warders. Most of the politicians crisscross the world in search of investment but genuine and solid investors are present in the country, this is just a ploy to siphon money out of the country. Some run round the globe soliciting for loans but one Nigerian man can buyback the county´s debt.

Parents spend their hard earned money to raise and trained their children but the children ends up roaming the nook and crannies of the nation in search of jobs. some households cant eat a square meal per day, many are destitute, sick and malnourished, for many only could afford "kuli kuli and garri" month in month out. So many live in slums.

Leaders remember that nobody lives forever, nobody dies and carry the world with him, look beyond your nose, for there is not only today but tomorrow, there is not only now but later. Change your ways and you wont need police escort or bodyguards, enrol you children in the local schools. Nigeria is for all of us, lets make it a better place for our children and our children's children.

This is just a tip of the iceberg about Nigeria woes. Books will fill the world if one is to write about the suffering, troubles, vices and sorrows confronting Nigeria and of those who think they have bought the country and possess the certificate of occupancy.

I love writing because it gives me joy to be able to release my stress,my frustration and anger on governments the world over on the ills, the inequalities and indifferent attitudes taking place in their communities.I am happy that TIG offers such a portal to pick up my idle pen and paper and pass issues across for other people to read. This enables me to also to read issues affecting other people across the world, together we can press on with the struggle and impart our various communities.Inspired greatly by my Lord and Saviour Jesus, Amen.
