Peace & Conflict   Poetry

Regardless the principle of politics,
What is politics?

Are you a politician with bad sense
Of politics as a career?

You come to the people and you swear;
You make promises of heaven on earth
To the people, but do a different ball game
When eventually you mount the saddle.

You would leave the word ‘politic’,
Which means:
You have to rule wisely,
You have to be prudent,
You have to judge well,
And so on,
To rascality and betrayal of trust
To the people you promised
Even your life in the service.
