A Vote for MDGs Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Henry Ekwuruke, Nigeria Apr 18, 2007
Peace & Conflict   Opinions

Be conscious of your relevance
And contribute to setting the pace
Vote to express best choice and good citizenship
Raise to the challenge for 2015

It is your vote that counts
A vote for Goal 1 is against poverty
Vote for Goal 2 is universal education for all
My vote goes to politics in this lane

Never forget to vote for gender equality
Somebody is woman and needs your vote
For empowerment of women and voice
Vote for MDG of the future for the child

Improve maternal health, inside their manifesto
Before voting the future sustained in their memo
Goal 6 is taken care of that my votes counts
Commitment to combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria and TB

They challenged us to hold them accountable
Transparency and accountability we voted for
Ensuring sustainable environment we voted for
But we rely on a global partnership
Only if we have voted for Goals 1 – 7

Good governance became our lot and future seen
A secured future of a people falling apart
Development future for a developing people
Who ought to vote for MDGs actors and leaders!
