Peace & Conflict   Poetry

Mighty is the power or imagination.
It is the material behind creation,
The only route towards reality,
The opener of the locked minds,
The catalyst that drives motion and ability.

If you want to test the power of imagination,
Close your eyes tight, then,
See closely beyond things,
Listen carefully far than sound,
Then, you will hear them shout,
You will see them fight and hound,
You will think they have caught you.

Do you think it’s an imagination?
What do you think they are?
Are they the devil's brigade and God's band?
No! They are battles of stress in your mind,
Wars against terror you try to fight,
Sounds of weapons of mass destruction.
They are the battles that conquer your life

Do you think you are imagining?
No pleas! You are facing hidden reality,
The reality of cruelty of humanity,
These are the sights you wish for-
Like killing a friend, when the sound told you,
"Commit suicide"
Imagination is the therapy that heals your wounds.

Writer Profile
kaboyo julius

My name is Kaboyo Julius from Uganda, Kabarole district, Tooro kingdom, in the western part of the country.

Currently, I am a teacher of English language, Literature in English, and Psychology at Sunrise High school in Rwanda. I like writing things that will change the world since I feel this world is not the place it should be.

As a person who studied psychology and literature, I like to check people's minds and what they think, whether it reflects what they believe in. This makes most of my writing seem emotional if I am right about my writings.
