Peace & Conflict   Opinions

Bear Witness For the world is free of Hitler , for the world is free of treacherous wars and kings , for the world is free of many dictators and a few myths ; I am taken aback to see all its effects on the society today . We were not the sufferers of Holocaust , but we are the sufferers of its effect on the heterogeneous society comprising of people with different races , religions and what not !

Thinking about peace , there is no such thing like it with a continuing consistency. One fine day you are free and the other day you do see things popping up in the middle of nowhere. Taking an example of gun violence in the United States or the recent attacks in Syria or the racial discrimination even today in most developed countries, it is shameful on the part of people who do have the strength to be the change but are conveniently unwilling to expose their potential . I seriously believe that every human being on this planet has an amazing gift of making a difference through being a change .

Today's Jews are looked at with suspicion , discriminated from other religions and are denied of various opportunities. They often suffer from psychological disorders and survival guilt. Holocaust took the lives of Jews once and they are still in a state of Holocaust trying to battle with every obstacle which comes their way as a result of taking birth as a Jew . How silly is that now ?

We are blessed to be born as creatures who can communicate and eradicate various problems effecting mankind . Being aware and spreading knowledge and education must be a major priority . "Schindler's List", one of the epic dramas directed by Steven Spielberg projects the lives of Jews during those times. We end up understanding a lot more about this issue after watching the movie.

Walking away from issues is easy, taking a second to think about them is convenient but making an effort to do something positive requires determination and an undying desire for a peaceful world.
