The lying Bold Man, The dying Soldier, and The crying child Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Samori Sombel Sy, United States Aug 21, 2005
Peace & Conflict , Sports   Poetry

Lead by shadows that only cowards will encounter
The bold man ordered the use of the stealth bomber
Soon a young soldier will have to wear that green armor
Fly to unknown land wear the wind blows sad criers

The child who's tears blew with the wind far away
Made a vow with vengeance to have it his way
Defined to be right in the name of god he prays
That he will meet his mother in heaven some day

Lead by shadows that only deceptive leaders follow
The bold man works on the destruction of some and how?
Innocent souls will die over and over, what a deadly show
Brief less human souls reminiscing, the extinction of the buffalo

The child who was born a refugee demands explanation
Mother told me she grew up in a very large plantation
How did I end up a refugee living in this state of privation?
Do I deserve this lack of food and health this starvation?

The young soldier sent to war found answers to his thoughts
Long after I discovered the lie the surmise for which I fought
The painful brainwashing of my once lucid mind, the plot
I remembered the mission was to free the people and get out

The bold man had his reason an illusion an expedition to kill it’s simple he lied
The soldier followed orders sometimes dreamed to live longer it’s simple he died
The child who lost it all for reasons that will never matter anymore simply cried
